Willie Nelson, Band of Horses lead the second Railroad Revival Tour

Second tour begins Oct. 20 in Duluth, Georgia

The Railroad Revival tour – the tour, which saw Mumford & Sons and a host of other musicians on the street outside appointments by train – has announced a new line, and the guidance for 2012.

 

Trip this year is Willie Nelson & Family, Band of Horses, Jamey Johnson and John Reilly & Friends crossing the tracks for eight performances from Duluth, Georgia and Oakland, California. It starts on October 20, appropriately enough, the Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth.

“Railroad Revival Tour is an experience that transcends traditional music tours and festivals, and glorified the historical novel of music and train with the approach of the great American landscape,” a statement announcing the tour is the second year. He also notes that in addition to individual performances, the RRT promises “a unique and spontaneous collaborations on stage and on the train between stops.”
